The Foundation supports students in all our Catholic Schools

Principal Nolan Trafton (center) joins his students in thanking Catholic Foundation of Eastern Montana donors. A Foundation grant made it possible to purchase a new theology curriculum for Billings Central Catholic High School.

The Catholic Foundation of Eastern Montana supports Catholic schools in our diocese in many ways. First, we have several legacy endowments— like the Amy J. Wathen Endowment and Joseph Loncki Scholarship Endowment— that provide funding for Catholics to send their children to a number of Catholic schools.
Then there are the other schools which have received Foundation grants in the last few years:

  • Great Falls Central
  • Our Lady of Lourdes (Great Falls)
  • St. Jude Thaddeus (Havre)
  • St. Mary’s (Livingston)

Last, but certainly not least, most of the Catholic schools throughout our diocese are the sole beneficiaries of several endowments here at
the Foundation:

  • Great Falls Central —eight endowments
  • Holy Spirit (Great Falls) —three endowments
  • Our Lady of Lourdes (Great Falls) —two endowments
  • Sacred Heart (Miles City) —two endowments
  • St. Jude Thaddeus (Havre) —three endowments
  • St. Mary’s (Livingston) —four endowments

Each of these schools can count on their endowments to yield reliable, ever-increasing distributions every year. That’s a check they never need to fundraise for! And that means Catholic schools can focus less on making ends meet, and more on increasing enrollment and forming faithful Catholics.

Is there a Catholic school that you and your family love? Do you believe in the importance of Catholic education?
