Thank you to everyone who supported our priests by participating in the Catholic Foundation of Eastern Montana’s 2025 St. John Vianney Priest Tribute!

Catholics across the Diocese of Great Falls–Billings were invited to honor or remember beloved priests by giving to permanent endowments that support their ministry and well-being. On August 4, the Feast of St. John Vianney, more than 100 priests—both living and deceased—were prayed for by name during the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.

This special Mass was celebrated by our Bishop, Most Reverend Jeffrey Fleming, at St. Ann’s Cathedral in Great Falls. He was joined by Father Alphonsus Enelechi, Father Doug Krings, and Father Jay Peterson as concelebrants. Deacon Tom Miller assisted at the altar, while seminarians Thomas Johnson, Zach Howick, and Randy Bebeau served. We also extend heartfelt thanks to Lee Haacke (acolyte), Kody Diekhans (musician), and the generous staff of St. Ann’s Cathedral for helping make this liturgy so beautiful.

To honor each priest named in this year’s Tribute, Bishop Fleming placed their names on the altar during the Mass. You can scroll down to see the full list of priests honored and remembered.

In the days leading up to the Feast Day, many Catholics across our diocese also joined in praying the St. John Vianney Novena for our priests. Special thanks to Billings Catholic Radio for recording and airing the novena!
