Tom and Mary Jane Heisler created two endowments for the benefit of Great Falls Central Catholic High School. The annual distribution from the Tom and Mary Jane Heisler Family Endowment provides scholarships for students to attend Central, while the annual distribution from the Heisler Speech and Debate Endowment for Academic Pursuits provides support for the Speech and Debate Club at Central.

Tom Heisler (1942-2022) graduated in 1961 from Great Falls Central Catholic High School, forever grateful for the education he received, as well as the way his teachers and coaches cared about him, took an active interest in him, and looked out for his future. Tom met his wife, Mary Jane, while attending Great Falls Central Catholic High School. With their three children, they had much success in their careers as owners of several businesses in Great Falls. As a family that values giving back, Tom especially wanted to support the school that gave him a solid start. They created the Tom and Mary Jane Heisler Family Scholarship Endowment in 2021 and the Heisler Speech and Debate Endowment for Academic Pursuits in 2022. Tom believed that a Catholic education is one of the most thoughtful things you can do for young people.

Planned Giving
Your support of permanent endowments at the Catholic Foundation of Eastern Montana can qualify you for unique tax and/or lifetime income benefits (especially the hefty 40% Montana Endowment Tax Credit) through what we call “planned gifts.”
Establish a Named (Legacy) Endowment
Donors may create a Named (Legacy) Endowment benefiting the Catholic parish, school, or ministry of their choice. All that’s required to start is a gift of $20,000 or more (or a pledge of $20,000 or more, given within five years of creating the endowment).
