This endowment honors the memory of both Don Ryan, whose charitable works inspired several generations and touched many friends throughout the region, and of Jane Ryan, who wholeheartedly supported and assisted her husband in such charitable endeavors. Supporting St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Billings and its many ministries was always very important to the Ryans. They dedicated much of their lives to their beloved parish.
The distribution from the Don and Jane Ryan Endowment is used by the pastor of St. Thomas the Apostle to support parishioners in need, to protect the vulnerable (particularly the unborn), and to increase vocations to religious life.

GOAL
We, the Catholic community of St. Thomas the Apostle, are called to be disciples of Jesus Christ. We seek to grow in relationship to him through gathering in prayer, study, fellowship, and our parish outreach. We strive to love all others as Jesus loves, realizing that each encounter can lead others towards Jesus or away from him. The sacramental life, particularly the Eucharist, is central in the forming and shaping of our lives as disciples of Jesus.

Planned Giving
Your support of permanent endowments at the Catholic Foundation of Eastern Montana can qualify you for unique tax and/or lifetime income benefits (especially the hefty 40% Montana Endowment Tax Credit) through what we call “planned gifts.”
Establish a Named (Legacy) Endowment
Donors may create a Named (Legacy) Endowment benefiting the Catholic parish, school, or ministry of their choice. All that’s required to start is a gift of $20,000 or more (or a pledge of $20,000 or more, given within five years of creating the endowment).
