The annual distribution from this endowment is used by Little Flower Parish to purchase food for the many people in Browning and on the Blackfeet Reservation who cannot get the help they need from the local community’s homeless shelter.

Ruth Sharone’s children created this endowment in 2012, noting that it was the wish of their father, John Sharone (before he passed away in November 2011), to honor his wife’s memory and continue her legacy of generosity and concern for those who are hungry and in need. They believed their mother would have greatly approved of having this fund benefit the hungry of the Blackfeet Indian Reservation.

Planned Giving
Your support of permanent endowments at the Catholic Foundation of Eastern Montana can qualify you for unique tax and/or lifetime income benefits (especially the hefty 40% Montana Endowment Tax Credit) through what we call “planned gifts.”
Establish a Named (Legacy) Endowment
Donors may create a Named (Legacy) Endowment benefiting the Catholic parish, school, or ministry of their choice. All that’s required to start is a gift of $20,000 or more (or a pledge of $20,000 or more, given within five years of creating the endowment).
