Monsignor Daniel J. Wathen created this endowment in 2020, in great part to honor his mother Rosie who passed away earlier that year.She was very active in and well-loved by the Catholic community in Billings. On her many trips to see her son, Monsignor Wathen in Havre, she came to know many St. Jude Thaddeus parishioners, as Monsignor Wathen was the pastor of St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church and School. This is truly a family endowment supported by several members of the Wathen family to benefit this wonderful Catholic school in Havre.

Planned Giving
Your support of permanent endowments at the Catholic Foundation of Eastern Montana can qualify you for unique tax and/or lifetime income benefits (especially the hefty 40% Montana Endowment Tax Credit) through what we call “planned gifts.”
Establish a Named (Legacy) Endowment
Donors may create a Named (Legacy) Endowment benefiting the Catholic parish, school, or ministry of their choice. All that’s required to start is a gift of $20,000 or more (or a pledge of $20,000 or more, given within five years of creating the endowment).
