Paul Tweden created two endowments for the benefit of the Catholic Church in our diocese. Distributions from the Paul A. Tweden Endowment for Mary Queen of Peace Church helps meet the greatest, most pressing needs of Mary Queen of Peach Church in Billings. The Paul A. Tweden Endowment for St. Agnes Church helps meet the greatest, most pressing needs of St. Agnes Church in Red Lodge.

Paul Tweden lived in Red Lodge and Carbon County for more than fifty years, and Saint Agnes Church was his parish. Through the years he also was a parishioner of Mary Queen of Peace Church in Billings. Grateful for his Catholic faith and both parishes, he is happy to know that they will be supported forever through his named endowments.

Planned Giving
Your support of permanent endowments at the Catholic Foundation of Eastern Montana can qualify you for unique tax and/or lifetime income benefits (especially the hefty 40% Montana Endowment Tax Credit) through what we call “planned gifts.”
Establish a Named (Legacy) Endowment
Donors may create a Named (Legacy) Endowment benefiting the Catholic parish, school, or ministry of their choice. All that’s required to start is a gift of $20,000 or more (or a pledge of $20,000 or more, given within five years of creating the endowment).
