Annual distributions from this endowment will be split between the following endowments in the specific percentages:
- Greatest Needs Endowment (50%) – Supporting the Catholic Foundation of Eastern Montana’s annual grant program that benefits Catholic entities throughout the Diocese of Great Falls-Billings every year
- Bishop Schuster Endowment (25%) – Supporting pro-life, pro-family causes within the Diocese of Great Falls-Billings as determined by the Ordinary of the Diocese of Great Falls-Billings
- Catholic Social Services of Montana Endowment (25%)

Jeff and Lucy Melugin of Billings, Montana created this endowment to further support Catholic entities that evangelize, educate, and inspire the Gospel of our Lord. This endowment will provide on-going contributions to the Catholic Foundation’s “Greatest Needs Endowment” which helps build strong futures for our Catholic entities in Eastern Montana. Additional on-going contributions will be made to the “Bishop Schuster Endowment” and “Catholic Social Services of Montana Endowment” which support the sanctity of human life through pro-life work and adoption services.

Monthly Giving
Monthly giving is a powerful way to provide sustainable, long-term support that your beloved Catholic parish, school, or ministry can count on. As little as $20 per month (67 cents a day) can make a difference for people throughout the Diocese of Great Falls-Billings forever. Planned Giving
Your support of permanent endowments at the Catholic Foundation of Eastern Montana can qualify you for unique tax and/or lifetime income benefits (especially the hefty 40% Montana Endowment Tax Credit) through what we call “planned gifts.”
Establish a Named (Legacy) Endowment
Donors may create a Named (Legacy) Endowment benefiting the Catholic parish, school, or ministry of their choice. All that’s required to start is a gift of $20,000 or more (or a pledge of $20,000 or more, given within five years of creating the endowment).
