This endowment provides assistance to a parish in need of support beyond its own resources, particularly small, rural parishes. The Catholic Foundation of Eastern Montana’s Board of Directors determines allocations through the grant program.

Allie Russell (1923-2022) was a parishioner at Holy Family Church in Glentana, and made her first gift to the Foundation in 2015 to launch the Parish Assistance Endowment.
Coming from a very small rural parish, Allie understood how difficult it is for some of the Catholic churches in Eastern Montana to make ends meet. She decided to do something about it and created an endowment. “It is an honor to be able to help the churches,” Allie said. “Some of them are really in need and I am glad to do what I can.”

Monthly Giving

Planned Giving
Your support of permanent endowments at the Catholic Foundation of Eastern Montana can qualify you for unique tax and/or lifetime income benefits (especially the hefty 40% Montana Endowment Tax Credit) through what we call “planned gifts.”
Establish a Named (Legacy) Endowment
Donors may create a Named (Legacy) Endowment benefiting the Catholic parish, school, or ministry of their choice. All that’s required to start is a gift of $20,000 or more (or a pledge of $20,000 or more, given within five years of creating the endowment).
