The annual distribution from the Patrick V. and Katherine M. Shevlin Memorial Endowment helps meet the needs of Sacred Heart School in Miles City.
$75,969
Current Value
Patrick and Katherine Shevlin were parishioners of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Miles City. Having been raised as Catholics, both Pat and Kay wanted their children to have a Catholic education. From 1951 to 1968, they had at least one child attending Sacred Heart School each year. Joseph and Cherie Shevlin established this endowment to honor Pat and Kay and to help support Catholic schools in order that other children might also obtain a Catholic education.

Monthly Giving
Monthly giving is a powerful way to provide sustainable, long-term support that your beloved Catholic parish, school, or ministry can count on. As little as $20 per month (67 cents a day) can make a difference for people throughout the Diocese of Great Falls-Billings forever. To set up a monthly donation, scroll up to the donation form on this page, and click on the “Recurring” tab in the “Choose Your Gift” section. Or, if you prefer, you can visit this link and select the endowment you wish to support from the drop-down list.
Planned Giving
Your support of permanent endowments at the Catholic Foundation of Eastern Montana can qualify you for unique tax and/or lifetime income benefits (especially the hefty 40% Montana Endowment Tax Credit) through what we call “planned gifts.”
Establish a Named (Legacy) Endowment
Donors may create a Named (Legacy) Endowment benefiting the Catholic parish, school, or ministry of their choice. All that’s required to start is a gift of $20,000 or more (or a pledge of $20,000 or more, given within five years of creating the endowment).
This is a beautiful way to pay tribute to a deceased loved one or show future generations of your family what values you hold most dear. If you’re interested in creating a legacy endowment, contact us online or call (406) 315-1765.
