Gregg Hodges

Gregg Hodges has been married to his sweetheart, Patricia, for 52 years. He is the father of Virginia Carroll and Casey Hodges and the proud grandfather of five granddaughters.

Gregg joined the Catholic Church at St. Agnes Parish in 1987 and has been an active parishioner ever since. Over the years, he has served on the Parish Council, Finance Council, and the Oversight Committee responsible for the design and construction of the new church. He has also served as a lector and Eucharistic minister for more than 40 years. From 2010 to 2016, Gregg served as Vice President and President of the Billings Cum Christo Secretariat.

Gregg graduated from Colorado School of Mines in 1975 with a degree in Metallurgical Engineering. He worked as a metallurgical engineer for various companies in New Mexico, Washington, Utah, Idaho, and California. In 1985, Gregg and his family moved to Montana as part of the original management team of the Stillwater Mine. There, he was responsible for the design, construction, and management of the surface processing facilities at Nye and Columbus. After leaving Stillwater in 1997, Gregg served as an international consulting engineer, project manager, and general manager for numerous companies and operations before retiring to Red Lodge in 2016.

Gregg and Pat enjoy skiing in Red Lodge as well as in Colorado and Utah with their children and granddaughters. Gregg is also an active member of the Red Lodge Fire Rescue Search and Rescue and EMS divisions. In 2025, Gregg was honored to join the Catholic Foundation of Eastern Montana’s Board of Directors and looks forward to working with Foundation donors to support the needs of parishes and Catholic ministries throughout the Great Falls-Billings Diocese.
